Love the Heat

Since I got my wood stove my heat bill went down about 70.00 dollars. I love it. You are right when you say it burns the wood but it is worth it. I have had mine about 3 months and two times when opening the bottom door smoke and embers blow out the bottom. Have no clue why. Still trying to figure this one out. If anyone else has had this to happen please share with me what you did. But I wish that I had gotten one of these long ago. I wouldn't do without one now.

Hardy Wood Stove Operation
by: Anonymous

NEVER but NEVER open the top door first! Operations manual warns of this but first hand experience also will warn of this. Although we have an older model that is about 25 years old, we installed it in Sept. 2012 and have maintained the original fire since. Heater provides both our hot water needs and heat for our home. Burns a lot of wood but does provide a lot of heat. When fan is blowing it will blow out sparks and ashes but nothing of concern unless you stand directly in front of the unit for a prolonged period. Could catch your clothes on fire if you did this. Otherwise, just step aside and let it blow.
