Does Hawthorn make good firewood?

I have a number of Hawthorn on my property, will they make good firewood?

I typically don't really think about Hawthorne as a firewood species. This is mostly because it is a relatively small tree. However, it does burn quite well as firewood both in heat output and burn time. If you have some at your disposal, I would highly recommend giving it a shot.
